How I did: 83/105, which is on par for me.
The sheer number of categories that I missed but one nomination on is kind of impressive. Two films "over-performed" today, being Wicked and A Complete Unknown, the latter of which I think is now in position to win the Oscar for Best Picture. But the season is still in full swing, and we haven't seen the BAFTA or guild winners yet, so let's not get ahead of ourselves. Emilia Pérez got her 13 nominations, leading the pack somehow, and The Brutalist is in second--along with the aforementioned Wicked.
Surprises? They include I'm Still Here for Picture; Edward Berger missing director; Wicked getting in places I didn't expect, like Editing; the fact that I mostly predicted Documentary Feature correctly.
Best Picture
Yup, Sing Sing missed, but so did September 5, leaving room for... I'm Still Here! I did not see that coming, and on the looks of it, no one else did, either.
1. Anora
2. The Brutalist
3. Conclave
4. Emilia Pérez
5. Wicked
6. A Complete Unknown
7. Dune: Part Two

Director
The surprise here is Berger missing out for Conclave, which spells major trouble for the film's Best Picture chances. Mangold made it in, and we may have a front-runner on our hands with that film's many nominations this morning, where is over-performed.
1. Brady Corbet, The Brutalist
2. Sean Baker, Anora
3. Jacques Audiard, Emilia Pérez
5. Coralie Fargeat, The Substance
7. James Mangold, A Complete Unknown

Both Golden Globe-winning performances made it in, as many expected. I still thought that Hard Truths would have got it, but I'm Still Here was obviously very well liked by the Academy!
